Write your hiring philosophy

Turn how your company hires into rules the ranking follows.

Your hiring profile is the difference between a CV that matches the job and a person who fits how you hire.

Write it in plain sentences

One idea per line works best:

We value practical, hands-on experience more than certificates. A degree is preferred but not mandatory if practical experience is strong. Candidates who frequently change jobs are a concern. Problem-solving ability is very important. Experience in e-commerce is a plus.

Then click Save and re-rank. Each sentence is compiled and shown with what HireMind will do about it. Recompile runs the sentences again — with AI, when your company has credits.

What each sentence becomes

Result Meaning
Active rule Mapped to a measurement — for example stable job history counts roles shorter than a year.
Noted No automatic rule fits. The sentence is kept as context for deep AI analysis.
Refused It refers to a protected characteristic and is never applied. See What is refused, and why.

Strength

Words like very important, must or strongly make a rule high strength; nice to have or a plus make it low. You can change the strength of any rule, or switch it off without deleting the sentence.

How much the profile counts

Preference influence (default 25%) decides how much the profile weighs against the pure job match:

overall = 75% job match + 25% preference fit + bonuses − penalties

Some rules also move weight between criteria — practical experience over certificates moves weight from certifications to projects — or add a small bonus or penalty. Bonuses are capped at 10 points and penalties at 15, so no single preference can dominate.

See the impact before you save

The impact preview re-ranks an open job with your draft profile and shows who would move and why. Nothing changes until you save.

One profile or several

Most companies need one. Recruitment agencies and large groups can keep several — one per client or department — and choose which one each job uses.
