What is refused, and why

Protected characteristics never enter a ranking.

HireMind is built so that a ranking can never depend on who a person is rather than what they have done.

Refused preferences

A sentence in your hiring profile that refers to any of these is refused, with an explanation, and never applied:

  • gender
  • age
  • religion
  • marital status
  • pregnancy or family plans
  • ethnicity, caste or home district
  • disability
  • appearance or photos
  • political views

For example, "We prefer candidates under 30" is refused. If what you really need is a level of experience, set a minimum or maximum experience on the job instead.

Ignored CV details

Many CVs include a personal details section. Before scoring, HireMind removes:

religion · marital status · date of birth and age · gender · nationality · father's and mother's names · national ID numbers · blood group · height and weight · photos

These fields are not stored in the candidate profile, not searchable, and not sent to AI for scoring. The candidate page tells HR which details were ignored.

Blind screening

Turn on blind screening in the hiring profile to hide names, photos and contact details during review. Candidates appear as Candidate 7F3A until someone clicks Reveal on a candidate report, which is recorded in the Data access log.

People decide

The engine recommends; it never shortlists, holds or rejects. Every stage change records who made it and when, and a reason can be recorded when a candidate is not selected.
